At Barklee Place, we believe that every pet deserves to look and feel their best. Founded by a Mother-and-Daughter duo, based in Ashford Surrey, we are passionate about providing top-notch dog grooming services, to keep your furry friends happy and healthy.
AMY NIGHTINGALE
Co-Owner
Hi, I’m Amy — a dedicated dog groomer in Ashford with over five years of hands-on experience in dog grooming.
I’ve always had a passion for caring for animals, growing up in a house full of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and reptiles. After completing my L3 National Animal Management Qualification, which provided a strong foundation in animal behaviour, coat care, and welfare, I fell in love with dog grooming.
Soon after, I began working for Palmer’s Dog Grooming in Shepperton, gaining valuable knowledge and experience while completing my L2 National Dog Grooming Qualification and Canine First Aid. This ensures that every dog in my care is safe and comfortable throughout their grooming experience.
Now, I have the opportunity to fulfil my dream of owning my own dog grooming business, and I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t wait to meet new customers and their dogs. My aim is to create a calm, positive environment for pups of all shapes and sizes, and to take pride in making them look and feel their best.

Hello, I am Julie, co-owner of Barklee Place, your trusted dog groomer in Ashford. I have recently completed my City & Guilds L2 and L3 qualifications in dog grooming and salon management, along with a Canine Health and First Aid Course. After nearly a decade as a care coordinator for a home care provider, I made the difficult decision to transition into the pet services industry.
I am confident that my patience and dedication to caring will be invaluable skills when looking after your fur babies.
As a long-term dog owner myself, I am excited and honoured to work alongside my daughter Amy. With my past business experience and Amy's exceptional grooming talents, I know we can provide our furry clients – and their owners – a first-class grooming experience.
